Adequacy of the content and the interface
Hypertext design involves a mixture of decisions relating to the content,
functionality, display, and control. The usefulness of hypertext depends on
its purpose, ease of navigation, and the population domain. The authors have
to determine tradeoffs among various design principles. For example, for a
learning system the authors would have to not only look into the outcomes of
using hypertext but also the quality of learning. In short, there is no upper
limit on adequacy.
